Sandip Sinha is a PMI Certified expert data analyst, web API specialist, and open source evangelist with over 15 years of relevant experience. He is a certified associate project manager (CAPM) and has experience working and building partnerships with businesses to translate ideas and requirements into concrete web interfaces and data pipelines. Sandip has strong leadership exposure in leading small teams, architecting and planning the entire analytics pipeline of a company. Sandip believes that open source has come a long way and is now being embraced by big companies due to the emergence of big data tools and the popularity of Python as a language. He has a knack for seeing opportunities and enjoys the process of capitalizing on them, from creating the vision, strategy, and roadmaps to being a part of high performing teams. Ultimately, his motivation is to make a difference. Currently, Sandip is a Senior Data Engineer at Splunk, where he is leading a project to create a company-wide data warehouse application driven by Redshift database and Tableau in the frontend. He is involved in every aspect of Redshift and Tableau installation, security, database migration, SSO integration, high available cluster, and more. In his past roles, Sandip worked at NCSOFT as an Analytics Lead and Senior Analytics Engineer. At NCSOFT, he guided his team to build an intelligent and efficient analytics pipeline that catered to a variety of mobile games across different regions of the world. He harnessed the power of open source and AWS tools to create a stack that served a broad team of publishers, data scientists, and engineers. Sandip was responsible for reviewing and implementing tools from the AWS framework that were relevant to the success of the analytics platform at NCSOFT. He also used open source tools like Airflow and Superset to leverage data. Sandip has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor's degree from Rajendra Vidyalaya.
